 Little History of the Handbag!
 Blacksmiths used tote bags, nuns and monks wore chaplains, while ladies of high society sported elaborately decorated purses. At the time, small drawstring bags were very popular and if some - especially men working outside - preferred to carry leather bags, it was especially canvas or fabric bags that were popular.
 Purse, Purse, Bougette, Aumonière, Réticule, Pochette, Fourreau, Minaudière... whatever name you give it, the handbag is above all a practical object.
  After the invention, at the end of the 18th century, of inside pockets for trousers, the handbag became the sole privilege of women. This is no longer the case today: the male sex also has its procession of bags for targeted uses: bags for sport, the city, professionals, etc...
